This page is designed to assist all all new secretaries, stand in secretaries potential secretaries and anybody else that needs to know the bare essentials of running a club/team.

It is not by any means the complete picture.

If anybody is uncertain as to what is required of them, then they should/can/must ring any member of the management committee for guidance.

1.      MONDAY PRIOR TO THE FIXTURE HOME TEAM MUST TELEPHONE
a.      Your opponents, please make personnel contact if you have to leave a message please ask for a response or alternatively telephone back to ensure the message has been received, provide details of:-

i.      The Kick-Off Time
ii.     Directions to the ground
iii.    Check there is no colour clash
iv.     Confirm the name of the Referee
b.      The appointed Referee, provide details of:-
i.      The Kick-Off time
ii.     Directions to the ground

Please note if the Referee is now unable to do the game please telephone the Referee’s Appointment Secretary

PLEASE DO NOT TELEPHONE THE REFEREE’S APPOINTMENT SECRETARY AFTER 9PM

2.      ON THE DAY OF THE FIXTURE – HOME TEAM


a.      Meet and greet your opponents and the Referee and show them to their changing facilities
b.      Pay the Referee his match fee £25.00 before the game
c.      Provide two “clean” match balls

3.      ON THE DAY OF THE FIXTURE – BOTH TEAMS


a.      Exchange Team Sheets with your opponents, in the dressing room
b.      Give the WHITE COPY of the Team Sheet to the Referee in his changing room no later than 15 minutes prior to the agreed kick-off time

c.      Make sure you have nominated an Assistant Referee and direct him to the Referee prior to the toss of the coin

4.      AFTER THE GAME HAS FINISHED


a.      The HOME team telephones the result of the game to the Hon. Publicity Secretary by 7pm on the day of the fixture providing details of:-

i.      Half Time Score
ii.     Full Time Score
iii.    Name of goalscorers
b.      For COUNTY CUP GAMES both Home and Away teams MUST telephone the result of the game to the Hon. Publicity Secretary

c.      Both teams must send a completed Result Sheet to the Results Secretary by:-
i.      EMAIL
ii.     FAX or by
iii.    POST
